Great Breakfast Ideas for Busy Mornings

Mornings are my favourite part of the day. Do you want to know why? Breakfast! Yes, that’s right, breakfast makes the morning so much more fun and gives you a reason to wake up. If you are not a morning person, then making breakfast a priority can help change that around. I know that we all have extremely busy schedules and the thought of having to wake a little earlier to prepare a breakfast seems a bit too much of work but there are many ways you can get around this and still enjoy a good healthy breakfast every busy morning of the week.

Read on to find out a few great breakfast ideas that will make it worth waking up in the morning.

You Can Never Go Wrong With Eggs!

This is probably the easiest to make of all breakfasts. Toss some bread in the toaster, fry up two eggs, spread some avocado or butter on your toast and voila! Breakfast is served. This is probably the easiest and the most used method to prepare a quick breakfast using eggs. However, if you do not have the time to be preparing this early in the morning, you can pre-prep some egg breakfasts and have them on a grab-and-go basis.

For example, you could bake little muffin-type omelette in your muffin tray with any ingredient that you like, such as spinach, tomatoes, cheese, bacon, onions and mix this with the egg to form your batter. This pre-prepped egg muffins can stay fresh in the fridge up to 4 whole days. All you have to do is grab them, heat them up in the microwave and you are good to go!

Satisfy That Sweet Tooth

We all know grabbing a donut or a nice chocolate éclair for breakfast sounds pretty tempting especially if you are one with a great big sweet tooth, I know I am. But doing this on a regular basis is not healthy for you and can have harmful effects on your body. Rather than choosing such refined sugar breakfasts, you could make your own healthier breakfast that satisfies those sugar cravings, for example coconut yoghurt bowls. This is an excellent substitute for your donut or éclair.

Simply take a bowl and addyoghurt of any kind as your base and then you can top it with some fruits or mix in some shredded coconut and top it off with some honey. This healthy option will keep those cravings in check and it won’t cause your health any harm.

Sandwiches

Sandwiches are probably the easiest grab-and-go breakfast there is. Sandwiches are so versatile that they could be a breakfast food, lunch or even sometimes dinner. You can also choose any kind of filling to go in your sandwich depending on what you feel like having that particular day.

If you are feeling like you would like to have something savoury, you can choose a filling such as egg or mushrooms or pretty much anything savoury. If you want something sweet, you could choose a jam or chocolate spread, you have a myriad of choices.
